Job Summary

The Manager - W&D Business Development position is responsible for warehouse and distribution service managing for defined logistics field. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities
  • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Supervise daily operational activities, including quality assurance, logistics, productivity, shipping, and customer service
    • Schedule and oversee the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency
    • Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention
    • Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers
  • Secondary Responsibilities:
    • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures
    • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
    • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
    • Confer and coordinate activities with other departments
  • Tertiary Responsibilities:
    • Manage monthly closing and AR/AP
    • Process SAP/GWMS/GTMS
    • Maintain accounting balance current

Qualifications
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management, and demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff preferred
  • Knowledge of WMS, TMS, ERP, and IATF 16949 preferred
  • Problem solving skills, organizational skills, ability to work independently and handle multiple projects preferred
  • Having strong communication skills to manage the internal department and external customers preferred
  • Good commercial and business understanding required
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 7 - 10 Years of Experience in Logistics Required
  • Experience in Supply Chain Management, W&D, & Automotive Preferred
  • 1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required
  • Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
  • Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
  • Lift up to 20lbs
  • Carry up to 20lbs
  • Stand/walk
