Key Responsibilities

As the Director of Business Development for Aviation and Aerospace, you will lead the expansion of our Time Critical business segment. Your primary focus will be to identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the Aviation and Aerospace sectors, including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), airlines, Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) providers, and other related entities. Utilizing Ascent's extensive data and resources, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our global time-critical shipment services.
  • Identify and nurture new high-value clients within the Aviation and Aerospace industries.
  • Manage the sales process from market analysis and prospect identification to presentations, negotiations, and deal closure.
  • Meet and exceed monthly revenue targets while maintaining active engagement in sales activities.
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals, transitioning opportunities from quotes to billed services.
  • Document and oversee sales activities within our CRM system, ensuring accurate client information.
  • Build and sustain strategic client relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with our pricing team to create compelling, value-driven proposals for customers.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive sales forecast.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in 3PL, transportation sales, or airline maintenance.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proven track record of success in business development.
  • Experience in negotiation and client-facing problem resolution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000
