Position Overview:
The Research Scientist in Academic Support operates with a high degree of autonomy, engaging in a variety of sophisticated and intricate tasks essential for the progression of fundamental and/or applied research initiatives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engaged in experimental methodologies pertinent to the designated Program.
Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, experimental planning, data evaluation, and the interpretation and dissemination of findings from fundamental and/or applied research.
May contribute to grant proposals and other funding requests, as appropriate.
Undertakes additional responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
PhD
OR a Master's degree accompanied by two years of professional experience in a technical or research laboratory.
OR a Bachelor's degree with four years of professional experience in a technical or research laboratory.
Laboratory experience should be relevant to the specific area of assignment.
Internship experience or experience gained prior to obtaining the qualifying degree is not recognized as eligible work experience for this position.
