About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at the Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting quality research activities that support multiple externally sponsored projects and internal research infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct literature reviews and generate annotated bibliographies to support research activities and research proposal development.
  • Manage literary references and citations through reference management software.
  • Develop and manage Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols.
  • Recruit and manage research participants, obtain informed consent, and manage participant-related research files.
  • Collect and analyze data for qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including usability and UX research.
  • Develop and publish research manuscripts, including editing and formatting.
Requirements

This is an open rank announcement, and the final job offer will be dependent on the candidate's qualifications in alignment with Research Faculty ranks as outlined in the Georgia Tech Faculty Handbook.

Research Scientist I: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as rehabilitation science, assistive technology, or special education.

Research Scientist II: Master's degree in a relevant field and three years of relevant full-time experience, or Master's degree and five years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor's degree, or Doctoral degree.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Usability, or User Experience (UX) and experience working with people with physical and sensory disabilities.
