Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Engineer to join our team in developing cutting-edge capabilities for the Sentinel ICBM weapon system at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide engineering support to a large Government acquisition program, designing, developing, producing, and deploying new payload system suites (reentry vehicles and/or countermeasures). The key payload attributes include enhancements in accuracy, lethality, and ICBM Reentry System/Reentry Vehicle (RS/RV) interoperable operations.

As a Principal Aerospace Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical advice to Government leaders and engineers, supporting requirements development, analysis of alternatives, verification and validation activities, and milestone preparation.

You will also prepare and review engineering analysis reports and key acquisition documents, including RFP packages, and participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program management reviews, certification working groups, and other technical meetings, as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline with 7+ years of Aerospace Engineering experience or master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline with 5+ years of Aerospace Engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership.
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as an aerospace/mechanical engineer on a missile system or complex weapon system (especially ACAT I program or ICBM-related experience).
