Job Description

BAE Systems USA is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support the development of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) system, known as the Sentinel ICBM Program.

The Sentinel Program is a complex and critical acquisition effort for the US Air Force, requiring a team of experienced engineers to design, develop, and integrate the command and control systems for the new ICBM system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of the Sentinel ICBM command and control systems, including the design, development, and integration of the systems.
  • Collaborate with the US Air Force customer to review the prime contractor's designs, documentation, architectures, and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products related to Sentinel command and control subsystems.
  • Interact with Air Force stakeholders to manage the integration of government-furnished equipment and property into the Sentinel weapon system design.
  • Provide expertise on weapon system and systems integration lab architectures, concepts of operation, modeling, simulation and analysis (MS&A), and plans for addressing command and control integration options.
Requirements
  • BS or MS in any Engineering discipline, Computer Science, Software, Physics, or Mathematics is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years (2 years with MS degree) of directly related experience in systems integration and analysis of military hardware and software systems/processes.
  • Active Secret security clearance (desired) or higher, and be able to obtain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Understanding of Digital Engineering or Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) is desirable.
  • DoD acquisitions program experience is a plus.
