The Opportunity

BAE Systems' Air & Space Force Solutions is seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced reentry capabilities for ICBM systems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice to Government leaders and engineers
  • Support requirements development, analysis of alternatives, verification and validation activities, and milestone preparation
  • Prepare/review engineering analysis reports and key acquisition documents, including RFP packages
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program management reviews, certification working groups, and other technical meetings, as required
  • Guide and develop more junior engineering team members
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 12+ years of aerospace or mechanical engineering experience or Master's degree in engineering or related field with 10+ years of aerospace or mechanical engineering experience
  • 6+ years of progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as an aerospace/mechanical engineer on a missile system or complex weapon system (especially ACAT I program or ICBM-related experience)
  • Current Secret Clearance or higher
  • Knowledge or previous experience with Air Force Operations and acquisition programs
  • Previous experience with military weapon systems
