Your Role

We are seeking a full-time Application Design Engineer to contribute to our innovative projects. In this position, you will leverage your extensive systems engineering and software development skills in a pioneering environment. Collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals, you will play a crucial role in the MARTA project, ensuring the seamless integration and operational effectiveness of the ICC System. Your daily responsibilities will involve close collaboration with various teams, including the System team, ATS Specification project team, and ATS tools team, as well as monitoring and managing multiple subsystems such as Signal, Switch, Track circuit, and Train Movement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing the DataPrep strategy for the MARTA initiative.
  • Creating tailored engineering solutions that facilitate interconnections between systems and subsystems.
  • Conducting Data Preparation for ATS, SCADA, and Security Systems in accordance with Design Documents and Tools.
  • Integrating products, modules, and interfaces, including HMI, while ensuring data integrity.
  • Assisting in defect analysis to pinpoint problematic components and collaborating with producers for resolution.
  • Providing constructive feedback to input producers such as the System team and ATS Specification project team.
Candidate Profile

We prioritize enthusiasm and a positive attitude over extensive experience. While we do not expect you to possess every skill listed, the following qualifications will enhance your success in this role:
  • A degree in Software Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience or familiarity with control and/or communication systems design, operation, and evaluation.
  • Understanding of systems engineering and interface control documentation.
  • Proficiency in both Linux and Windows operating systems, including systems administration, installation, configuration, and server management.
  • Expertise in software design and Object-Oriented Programming, particularly in C and C++.
  • Experience with Unix Shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and industry-standard protocols such as Modbus, TCP/IP, and Serial Communication.
  • A certification or demonstrated proficiency in technical assessment and troubleshooting, with familiarity in tools like GDB, Wireshark, etc.
  • Additional programming experience in C# is considered advantageous.
