Overview of the Role

The Technology Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supervising and directing the daily technical functions of the organization. This position ensures that the technological frameworks and infrastructure of the company are running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include providing technical assistance, as well as developing and upholding IT policies and protocols. The role also involves the management and enhancement of the company’s ERP software systems, Manufacturing Execution System, Warehouse Management System, file servers, WLAN, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the integrity and precision of ERP, MES, and WMS systems.
  • Collaborate with the headquarters team to support SAP/ERP systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in SAP/ERP software in conjunction with the headquarters team.
  • Oversee the functionalities of SAP, MES, and WMS software.
  • Ensure the security and protection of company data across all systems, including file servers.
  • Work in partnership with headquarters and other IT professionals to plan, execute, and complete systems and projects, staying current with the latest trends in SAP/ERP systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and team members.
  • Engage with all departments to assess their technological requirements and deliver suitable solutions.
  • Supervise and sustain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, and storage systems in collaboration with headquarters.
  • Ensure that hardware and software components are current and meet industry standards.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and compliance standards, ensuring the IT department adheres to them.
  • Manage IT projects from inception to completion, encompassing planning, execution, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to outline project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop and uphold IT policies and procedures, ensuring a standardized approach to IT operations.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to secure necessary IT equipment and services.
  • Respond promptly to user requests by providing first-level technical and functional support for ERP, MES, and WMS systems, cloud applications, MS Office Suite, Microsoft Windows operating systems, and computer peripherals.
  • Act as an escalation point for IT troubleshooting, including laptop repairs, email and mobile device support, conference room setups, hardware diagnostics, and software assistance.
  • Implement and enforce network security measures to guard against potential cyber threats and enhance data protection.
  • Conduct training sessions on software applications and new operational procedures as needed to boost efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in systems and network administration, programming, and management.
  • In-depth knowledge of various network components, including firewalls, routers, switches, and access points.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware) and cloud management.
  • Proficient in database management, with experience in SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Capable of working creatively and efficiently in a dynamic team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
  • Ability to work with components along a production line without negative impacts.
  • Ability to make timely decisions and provide constructive feedback.
  • Strong desire for personal and professional growth.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
