About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Advanced Practice Clinician to join our Urgent Care team at Cook Children's Health Care System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative and independent practice setting
  • Conduct patient assessments, form diagnoses, and develop treatment plans according to approved protocols and evidence-based medicine
  • Treat patients and families presenting to the Urgent Care Clinic, including prescribing medications and facilitating referrals or transports to higher levels of care
  • Supervise clinic personnel as needed
Requirements
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurses: Masters Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience or related specialized area
  • Physician Assistants: Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies, minimum 1 year of experience in related specialized area
Certifications and Licensure
  • Current Texas professional registered nurse license or Texas professional Physician Assistant license
  • Certified as a PNP or FNP, or PA-C
  • Current Basic Life Support (CPR) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
