Speech Language Pathologist Specialist

Children's Health (Dallas) is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist II to join our team in Grapevine, Texas.
About the Role:We are looking for a senior clinician who is responsible for planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to the principles and practices of Speech Language Pathology. The successful candidate will collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide direct Speech Language Pathology evaluations and re-evaluations, including assessment of prior and current level of function, setting individualized goals and making discharge recommendations in accordance with standards of practice.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct Speech Language Pathology treatments according to standards of practice, including patient and family education, progression of treatment plan and implementation of appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Report on patient progress through appropriate written documentation including evaluation forms, progress notes, education forms.
- Collaborate with physicians, patients, family and other members of the health care team relative to patient treatment and progress as well as other affiliated agencies with regard to effective discharge planning.
- Coordinate and prioritize own schedule in relation to demands of patient treatment and other departmental responsibilities.
- Supervise rehabilitation aides; mentor and instruct Speech Language Pathology interns and other students as needed.
- At least 3 years previous Speech Language Pathology experience required.
- Pediatric out-patient experience preferred.
- Vital Stimulation certified experience in feeding including with infant population.
- License to practice Speech Language in the state of Texas required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA required.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS Certification upon hire required.
