Job Title: Staff Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Methodist Health System. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of pharmaceutical care and results in an optimal patient care setting.

Job Summary:

The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for performing professional, clinical tasks that support the mission, vision, values, and strategic goals of Methodist Health System. This includes providing pharmaceutical care, managing medication therapy, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide pharmaceutical care to patients, including medication therapy management and patient education.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Manage medication therapy, including ordering and dispensing medications.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacy experience (includes residency training).
  • Current license as a Registered Pharmacist by the state of Texas required.
  • ACPE Accredited Sterile Compounding Certification.
  • Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardio Life Support, and NRP.
  • Residency training or equivalent experience.
  • NIHSS (within 60 days of hire date).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (within six months of hire date).
  • MDMC Pharmacy Department Training Module (within 6 weeks of hire date).
  • Enrollment into ASHP-Accredited Residency Program Tracking and Evaluation Program.
  • MDMC Pharmacy Department Training Module (within 1 year of hire date).
