About the Role

KACE is seeking a highly skilled Dyula Language Specialist to join our team. As a Dyula Language Specialist, you will be responsible for performing real-time transcriptions of sensitive material from Dyula to English, collecting, analyzing, identifying, and decoding of colloquialisms and slang terms, extracting pertinent information and communicating that information to law enforcement agents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transcription and Translation: Listen to oral and written intercepts or pre-recorded communications in Dyula and provide verbal and written synopsis and transcriptions as it may be applicable per project.
  • Communication: Relate all pertinent information to the Client when supporting a live project.
  • Code Development: Contribute to a master-list of slang words and codes (used by a particular group/organization) for the duration of the project/case.
  • Voice Library Maintenance: Maintain a voice library for the duration of the project.
  • Document Transcription: Transcribe and translate pertinent calls and documents as assigned by their supervisor.
  • Transcription Quality: Produce court-ready transcriptions of pertinent calls, chats, and documents, following the required format.
  • Reference Tool Utilization: Responsible for using the various reference tools created during the project.
  • Productivity: Maintain daily log of productivity.
  • Additional Duties: Perform related duties as assigned, within the scope of practice.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree AND three (3) years' experience in a professional setting OR Associate degree AND five (3) years' experience in a professional setting OR a High School Diploma AND seven (7) years of experience.
  • Language Skills: Minimum of one (1) year of transcription experience in the required language.
  • Security Clearance: Select applicants will be subject to a government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements to access classified information.
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of source language colloquial terms and expressions, knowledgeable in SMS language, social media, and Webchat, demonstrates excellent verbal and written skills in the target language, including correct and accurate grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Computer Skills: Must possess strong computer skills in MS Office, including Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Work Environment: Must be able to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment and be able to communicate effectively with management and law enforcement personnel.
  • Physical Requirements: Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees.
