As a Mechanical Engineer II at SNC Ltd, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems. You will work in a rapid and agile production environment, researching, designing, developing, testing, certifying, deploying, and improving cutting-edge products and services.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection, and security solutions worldwide. You will be part of a team with a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial, and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering, and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space, and cyber.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Apply and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
  • Understand Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Thermal Analysis and Mass Properties
  • Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, including parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes

Requirements:

  • Practical Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools (CATIA V5/V6)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
  • Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Thermal Analysis and Mass Properties
