Design and Develop Innovative Solutions
As a Mechanical Engineer II at Sierra Nevada Corporation, you will research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve cutting-edge products and services. You will conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems, and your technical duties will include the design and development of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline
- 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools (CATIA V5/V6)
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
- Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Thermal Analysis and Mass Properties
- Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes
- Experience with Commercial Derivative Aircraft
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
