Base-2 Solutions, LLC is on the lookout for a skilled Systems Administrator to enhance our operational capabilities. This role is ideal for individuals proficient in both Linux and Windows environments, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.

Position Overview

  • Demonstrate a strong dedication to the principles of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Perform installations, configurations, and troubleshooting for both Linux and Windows systems.
  • Ensure compliance with DISA STIG across all operational systems.
  • Develop server configurations for both virtual and physical infrastructures.
  • Oversee system integration tools such as Kubernetes, Rancher, and Helm.
  • Create scripts to automate infrastructure processes using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Design and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions for diverse environments.
  • Utilize automation tools like Salt and Ansible to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Manage user accounts and maintain comprehensive system documentation.

Qualifications Required

  • A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree with at least 6 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in system integration testing and Agile project methodologies.
  • Expertise in Linux system administration and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Understanding of server networking and cloud computing environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with tools such as Atlassian, Kubernetes, and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience with scripting languages including Bash, Python3, and PowerShell.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Docker.
  • Experience managing large-scale endpoint environments and storage solutions.
  • Advanced skills in Linux network hardware.
  • Experience in secure, air-gapped operational environments.
