About the Role

Avid Technology Professionals, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex systems and solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Develop and maintain scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data ingests, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • System Integration: Establish direct connections to various systems containing data required for business analytics and application operation, automating data ingest processing when required.
  • Security and Accreditation: Assist in navigating the security accreditation process, documenting system configurations, updating configurations to meet accreditation requirements, and working with accreditation assessors and information system security managers.
  • Reporting and Data Sharing: Support the dissemination of reporting to access-controlled users and assist with data sharing and acquisition requirements.
  • Application Development: Implement changes to current applications and data pipelines based on client requirements.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph: Must have an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with a polygraph.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field, 8 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or an Associate's degree with 10 years of experience.
  • Technical Skills: At least 7 years of specialized experience with enterprise and systems architecture, 3+ years of experience with cloud migration solutions and hybrid cloud management solutions, 3+ years of in-depth experience with system disaster recovery/COOP and backup solution engineering, implementation, and operation management, in-depth experience with VMWare and other virtualization technologies.
  • Soft Skills: Strong technical leadership skills, ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, strong public speaking skills, and professional demeanor.
Optional Skills
  • Cloud-Based Technologies: Demonstrated experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Azure.
  • Enterprise-Level Deployments: Experience with enterprise-level deployments, including customer governance, policy definitions, policy management, and automation, and customer interfaces used to deliver integrated security solutions across multiple security domains.
  • Certifications: ITIL Foundation Certification, AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials, PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), VMware Certified Professional, Oracle Certified Associate (OCA), and Professional Scrum Master.
