About the Position

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Human Services, Office of Policy Development is seeking an Executive Policy Specialist 2 to join our team. This exciting career opportunity involves analyzing and developing policies related to Medicaid or behavioral health, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions that align with state priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage policy areas related to the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) and the Office of Medical Assistance Programs (OMAP)
  • Analyze complex policy issues and develop solutions that align with state priorities
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions
  • Review major service areas within these offices, conduct comprehensive policy research, and recommend executive policy changes

Requirements and Qualifications
  • One year of experience as an Executive Policy Specialist 1, or two years of policy analysis and planning experience with a master's degree in policy analysis and planning, public administration, or a closely related field
  • Four years of policy analysis and planning experience with a bachelor's degree in policy analysis and planning, public administration, or a closely related field
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training

Work Schedule and Benefits
  • Full-time employment (37.5-hour work week)
  • Work hours are available from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute or 60-minute lunch
  • Telework opportunity available with a securely configured high-speed internet connection and approved work location
  • Salary: $63,984 - $84,930 per year, depending on experience
