Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Orthopedic team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations.
  • Participate in orientation and precepting new personnel, ensuring a smooth transition to the team.
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent and documentation.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and workshops.
Qualifications
  • Current RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification within 30 days.
  • Nationally certified in area of specialty (non-essential).
Working Conditions

This role requires heavy work, exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.

Working conditions include exposure to chemicals and biohazardous materials, requiring personal protective equipment.
