Position Overview:
As the IT Technical Lead, you will oversee the retail applications support team within your designated area. You will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, development, implementation, and ongoing management of retail e-commerce and marketing information systems. Your role will involve establishing standards, policies, and procedures to ensure that our systems and applications align with company objectives while maintaining thorough documentation for project specifications and timelines.

- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in Information Technology and Retail Systems; provide recommendations for enhancing current programs and processes.
- Guide the team in analytical processes and problem-solving techniques for retail e-commerce and marketing technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business and end-user requirements.
- Manage departmental functions, including staffing, training, performance evaluations, and career development of team members, while setting and monitoring departmental goals.
- Provide technical and project management guidance to assess feasibility and resource needs for releases; coordinate project work with other departments; plan, schedule, and monitor projects to ensure timely completion and effective issue resolution.
- Oversee the development activities related to retail technology applications, including analysis, design, and evaluation of both new and existing systems. Lead the testing, certification, implementation, and ongoing operations of cost-effective retail information systems and technology solutions, collaborating with internal IT teams, external vendors, and cross-functional partners as necessary.
- Supervise the installation, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of retail applications and information systems, ensuring that requirements, project schedules, and cost estimates are met.
- Manage the applications production environment, including change management, issue resolution, after-hours support, and disaster recovery, ensuring prompt resolution of retail system issues and effective collaboration with cross-functional departments.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing and supporting digital commerce solutions, preferably within the grocery sector.
- Proficiency in integrating front-end and back-end systems using API frameworks, such as SOAP or REST.
- Experience in leading development teams, including both onshore and offshore contractors.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies as a means of project delivery.
- Experience managing software in a PCI compliance environment.
