The City of Moline Illinois is seeking a skilled Public Works Technician to join our team. As a Public Works Technician, you will be responsible for performing manual labor tasks related to the maintenance and repair of public works equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual labor tasks related to the maintenance and repair of public works equipment and facilities.
- Operate heavy equipment such as trucks, tractors, and other machinery.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of traffic signals and other public works infrastructure.
- Perform routine inspections of public works equipment and facilities to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and other documents related to public works projects and activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as maintenance or construction.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license required.
Working Conditions:
