About the RoleIn this pivotal role, you will oversee the support and management of user-related issues and system challenges. Your responsibilities will include maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing computer systems, hardware, and peripherals. You will document, maintain, upgrade, or replace hardware and software systems, while also administering and maintaining specified systems. Additionally, you will support and manage user account information, including rights, security, and systems groups. Your expertise will be crucial in the administration and implementation of comprehensive information security services. You will install, test, configure, and maintain information security programs, providing technical guidance and queuing analysis.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure security compliance by monitoring adherence to standards, policies, and procedures; assist in conducting incident response analyses; develop and deliver training programs.
  • Enhance job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards; participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; engage in professional organizations.
  • Support the administration of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
  • Assist in responses to external audits, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Supervise risk assessments and penetration tests.
  • Assist in conducting gap analysis activities.
  • Perform assigned Information Security administration duties.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive system and process documentation.
  • Execute security-related tasks for Information Security and associated systems.
  • Assist in evaluating new systems and programs.
  • Provide management with recommendations for generating business cases and justifications.
  • Oversee Information Security Administrators in the installation and configuration of security equipment.
  • Provide escalation support for Information Security staff.
  • Mentor Information Security personnel.
  • Perform Incident Commander functions as necessary.
  • Make recommendations to the Information Security Manager and Director as required.
  • Supervise tasks and responsibilities assigned to Information Security staff.
  • Assist in planning system upgrades and interdepartmental coordination.
  • Support Information Security staff with technical issues.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental system implementations.
  • Represent Information Technology in departmental meetings.
  • Provide input and expertise for designated committees or teams.
  • Identify and develop improvements to existing systems to enhance security protection.
  • Participate in departmental planning and budgeting processes.
  • Manage technical projects and tasks.
  • Deliver system reports to management.
  • Provide planning reports for areas of responsibility.
  • Report incidents and downtime.
Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of five years of experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, repair, support, administration, design, and planning of Information Security hardware and software in an enterprise networked environment.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Advanced training courses or certifications in Information Security, such as ISACA, SANS, Cisco, or ISC2.
  • Proficient knowledge of at least 50% of all Information Security systems, with demonstrated coaching skills to Information Security staff and experience as a Project Manager on a successful major technology initiative within the past year.
