  • Plan and execute database maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Snowflake databases and SQL queries.
  • Implement best practices for efficient data storage and query execution.
  • Set up and manage monitoring tools and alerts for Snowflake environments.
  • Generate and analyze reports on database performance, usage, and capacity planning.
  • Provide support to application developers and end-users for Snowflake-related issues.
  • Conduct training sessions for teams on Snowflake best practices and usage.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of Snowflake configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for common issues.
  • Work closely with data architects, data engineers, and other stakeholders to design and implement scalable and efficient data solutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support data initiatives and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits of database security and performance.

Qualifications

  • Total 12+ years of experience as database admin; proven experience as a Snowflake Admin for 6+ years.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, database management, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Snowflake, ETL tools, and monitoring tools.
  • Snowflake certification is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
