Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Caseworker to join our team in the Brooklyn Borough Office. As a Caseworker, you will play a critical role in supporting custodial parents and their families by providing guidance on collecting child support payments and pursuing orders of support.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct client interviews and investigations to locate legally responsible absent parents.
  • Pursue and develop leads to locate non-custodial parents.
  • Communicate with other departments and entities to obtain information and required documents.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is available for referral to court to establish parentage and/or an order of support.
  • Understand and adhere to operational procedures and established guidelines to prevent delays in referring cases to court.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is $46,689 per year, plus eligibility for up to $6,000 in bonus payments over a two-year period. Additionally, OCSE caseworkers receive a yearly differential of $1,540.
