About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist PRN to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland. As a member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and improving the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify communication, cognitive, and swallowing impairments.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to improve patient communication abilities.
  • Evaluate patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director to determine patient placement and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Licensed as a Speech Pathologist in the State of Texas.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience, post CYF.
  • Masters Degree in Speech Pathology required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR, or CPR for Healthcare Providers, or Heart Saver CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
