The Process Engineer will be instrumental in analyzing our current workflows and ensuring that our operations are optimized for maximum efficiency. This role involves developing and maintaining manufacturing standards, managing bills of materials, and creating effective production layouts that minimize waste and costs while upholding quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish manufacturing standards for labor, materials, and associated costs.
  • Maintain and update Bill of Materials and Routings within our ERP system.
  • Design efficient manufacturing layouts and ergonomic workspaces for new product lines.
  • Enhance work areas to reduce discomfort and improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct process mapping, time studies, and resource analysis to accurately assign costs and identify variances.
  • Stay informed about best practices in manufacturing and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Identify and analyze issues deviating from established standards and propose effective solutions.
  • Develop and manage information systems for planning and control.
  • Implement strategies to lower production costs.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and cost management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IT programming and reporting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ergonomics, supply chain management, and industry standards.
  • Ability to effectively present options and recommendations both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Capability to handle confidential information appropriately.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be necessary for this position (less than 25%).

Physical Requirements:

  • This role is not physically demanding; it involves prolonged periods of sitting or standing, effective communication, and the ability to operate a computer and telephone.
  • Work is conducted in a corporate office and warehouse environment.
