Recovery Collector Role

OneMain Financial is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Recovery Collector. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in negotiating arrangements for payment or settlements with customers on deficiency balances on accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with customers to resolve account deficiencies.
  • Prepare and mail Notice of Deficiency letters to responsible parties.
  • Determine account eligibility for transfer to appropriate 3rd party collection agencies.
  • Prepare garnishment paperwork for applicable parties.
  • Perform other duties as required to ensure successful account resolution.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of customer service experience.
  • 2+ years of collections experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and outstanding phone and negotiation skills.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 9:00AM-6:00PM with a rotating Saturday once every 6 to 8 weeks.

Compensation: Base pay plus bonus potential.
