Job Description
The Behavioral Health Nurse Specialist will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care based on the standards of care and policies of LCMC Health. This role will also involve delegating to professional and non-professional personnel involved in the delivery of care.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Facilitating and maintaining a safe environment for patients and others with a specialty in wound care treatment and prevention
  • Actively promoting and supporting LCMC Health's performance improvement initiatives by consistently implementing infection control practices and participating in quality improvement activities and review/audit processes
  • Utilizing the nursing process to deliver patient care, including organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating all aspects of care for each assigned patient
  • Communicating using appropriate channels information, data, significant events, or problems to appropriate persons, including current patient condition, changes in the patient's condition, laboratory/diagnostic data, intake & output, nutrition needs, assessment findings and changes, changes of shift report, patient/family/physician team member complaints, defective equipment, etc.


Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited professional school of nursing. Additionally, candidates must have sufficient previous clinical experience in the area of expertise and hold a current Louisiana Nursing License. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in nursing and relevant certifications.

Salary
The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on the title, job description, and location. This salary range is competitive and reflects the value we place on our employees.
