Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Barista/Counter to join our team at Gjelina LA. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring that our guests have a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all guests feel welcome and valued.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Prepare and serve high-quality beverages, including espresso drinks and specialty coffee.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and manage cash and credit transactions.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and efficient food delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation and presentation.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
