Key Responsibilities of the Procurement Specialist:

  • Demonstrated experience in procurement or a related field
  • Request bids based on material requisitions provided and ensure the accuracy of the quoted Bill of Materials (BOM) against the requisition
  • Generate Purchase Orders for suppliers
  • Issue Purchase Orders for internal staff
  • Secure competitive pricing for Bills of Material
  • Perform data entry tasks, including processing daily orders, matching invoices, and entering invoices into accounts payable systems
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to monitor incoming and outgoing orders, manage vendor returns, and assist with warehouse receiving as needed
  • Track vendor credits
  • Oversee Lot Project Jobs: issue Purchase Orders, coordinate deliveries to sites, and verify proof of deliveries
  • Provide purchase planning and cost management insights by collaborating with Project Managers

General Qualifications:

  • Effective and timely communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a dynamic workload
  • Proactive in managing responsibilities
  • Collaborative approach with the Director of Purchasing and the procurement team to enhance productivity

Technical Skills Required:

  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word) and Bluebeam or Adobe
  • Experience with Spectrum is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Background in electrical or related construction sectors

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage of $30.00, dependent on experience
