Our rapidly expanding Trust and Safety Research and Development team is tasked with developing machine learning models and systems to combat internet abuse and fraud on our platform.

Our goal is to safeguard billions of users and publishers worldwide on a daily basis.

We leverage cutting-edge machine learning technologies to process and enhance the vast amounts of data generated on our platform.

We seek individuals with substantial experience in designing and deploying advanced models that integrate Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision (CV).

This role involves collaboration with a team of outstanding research scientists and machine learning engineers who are proactive in designing and developing sophisticated machine learning solutions, implementing them directly on TikTok's global platform.


Responsibilities - What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with team members to design next-generation models for CV/NLP/Audio multimodality
  • Develop scalable classifiers, predictive models, and algorithms for big data mining, computer vision, NLP, and related fields
  • Partner with engineering teams to establish model pipelines and deploy services at scale
  • Work alongside product teams to define objectives and enhance trust and safety strategies
  • Collaborate with data analysts to identify and analyze data patterns
Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, NLP, audio processing, or involvement in large-scale online machine learning platforms is preferred
  • Proficiency in foundational technologies for pre-training, including efficient training and pre-training as a service, as well as downstream applications of NLP/CV/Video is advantageous
  • Expertise in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow, along with programming languages like Python or Java
  • Strong programming skills in Python and similar languages, coupled with a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a passion for learning new techniques and tackling challenging problems
  • Experience in the trust and safety domain is a plus
