About Us:The Semantic Scholar Research team at the Allen Institute for AI (AI2) is dedicated to interdisciplinary research in AI, human-computer interaction, machine learning, natural language processing, accessibility, and computational social science. Our mission is to accelerate scientific discovery through our open platform, which assists millions of scholars in navigating and synthesizing scholarly literature.
Our research not only influences the Semantic Scholar platform but also contributes to the broader research community, with publications in prestigious conferences and journals across various domains.
Your Responsibilities:As a member of our team, you will engage in high-impact research and contribute to AI2's mission in a dynamic research setting. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting influential research, leading projects, and authoring papers for esteemed computing conferences and journals.
- Collaborating with and learning from fellow scientists and engineers within AI2.
- Mentoring junior researchers and interns.
- Developing and sharing open-source software to enhance research accessibility.
- Building partnerships with relevant academic, industrial, governmental, and standards organizations.
- PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or nearing completion, with a focus on one or more of our active research areas.
- Demonstrated publication record in AI-related fields, with contributions to recognized venues.
- Proficient software engineering skills, with experience in deep learning frameworks.
The physical demands of this role require the ability to remain stationary for extended periods, communicate effectively, and observe details closely.
