Position Summary

Kovalus Separation Solutions LLC specializes in delivering comprehensive solutions for complex challenges in the food and beverage, life sciences, and general industrial sectors. The International Financial Controller will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will be accountable for the global financial consolidation and the preparation and analysis of financial statements. This role encompasses management reporting, treasury functions, tax compliance, financial oversight, and support for manufacturing operations and various departments within a global business valued at approximately $250 million.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the global accounting and finance teams, ensuring the timely consolidation of financial results and the preparation of essential financial statements, including Weekly Flash Reporting, Monthly Management Reporting Packages, Bank Reporting, and reports for Investors and Senior Management.
  • Facilitate the creation of KPIs and various operational dashboards, enhancing the ability of senior management and functional leaders to make informed decisions across all locations.
  • Collaborate with global site accounting and operational teams to ensure the financial close process is completed efficiently while providing ongoing accounting and finance support.
  • Oversee all Treasury operations for the organization.
  • Manage payroll preparation and the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
  • Play a pivotal role in coordinating the external independent audit of the company’s financial statements.
  • Update and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring robust internal controls and consistent quality in financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 15+ years of extensive experience in finance and accounting, including a role as Global Controller with direct responsibility for complex global financial closing and consolidation processes. Experience in a private equity-owned company is highly preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret and apply U.S. GAAP and other authoritative guidance for financial reporting.
  • Detail-oriented individual with a disciplined approach to compliance and adherence to deadlines.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Proactive and collaborative, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams globally.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a commitment to developing team members professionally.

  • Periodic travel may be necessary to various company locations.
