Job Summary

Clinical Nurse II provides professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit, coordinating care planning with other disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of professional nursing experience and a strong understanding of patient-centered care. This role requires the ability to assess learning needs, develop and initiate care plans, and recommend interventions.

Responsibilities:
  • Correlate patient history and support systems within hospital care/nursing home care
  • Assess learning needs of patients and families
  • Develop and initiate plan of care, involving patients and families
  • Recommend interventions to improve patient outcomes
  • Evaluate plan of care and make adjustments as needed
  • Resolve problems regarding moderately complex issues without oversight or supervision
  • Precept employees/students as directed and review clinical performance with unit leaders or clinical instructors
  • Demonstrate competence in performing critical skills, including appropriate delivery of care according to age-specific needs of the population served
  • Supervise LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters
  • Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards, complete required education assignments annually, and work towards achieving goals and objectives
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Education: Sufficient to meet standards for achievement of required license and/or certification
  • Minimum Experience: At least one year of professional nursing experience
  • Licensure Requirement: Must have and maintain Tennessee State RN licensure; CPR required
Estimated Salary Range:

$65,000 - $85,000 per year
