Job Summary

Special Service for Groups, Inc- HOPICS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Client Supportive Services Liaison to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to clients in need, working closely with our Employment, Wellness and Supportive Services Program Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and assistance to clients in need, including receiving and organizing clothing donations, distributing receipts to donors, and scheduling laundry services.
  • Manage the clothing closet schedule for client shopping experiences and coordinate with HOPICS staff to meet client needs.
  • Coordinate and prepare food boxes for distribution, verify and confirm requests with Case Management, and maintain accurate records.
  • Act as Volunteer Lead for HOPICS-sponsored events and activities, ensuring volunteers are assigned to workstations and check-in/out logs are submitted for review.
  • Support the Employment and Client Wellness Team as needed, providing assistance and support to the Program Manager and training to HOPICS Volunteers.
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation, submit daily/weekly/monthly distribution logs, and complete incident reports as needed.
  • Attend all HOPICS meetings as required and coordinate with other HOPICS staff and collaborative partners to provide supportive services.
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) years of job-related experience working with homeless individuals and families or five years of experience in the social service field.
  • Case management and homeless program experience preferred.
  • Ability to work with staff and clients from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
  • Verification of Employment Eligibility and Background Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe food Safety certification or similar acceptable certification.
  • TB test required.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification required.
  • Valid Driver's License and auto insurance required with reliable transportation.
Working Conditions
  • This position is responsible for work in a client-friendly environment and may require support in the pick-up and delivery of donations as needed.
  • Local automobile travel is required, and some responsibility to work in noisy environments where children and adults are present.
Mental and Physical Requirements
  • This position will require the individual to be able to handle constant distractions, interruptions, and uncontrollable changes in priorities/work schedules.
  • The individual must be able to process information, think, and conceptualize.
  • The Client Supportive Services Liaison typically spends time sitting, standing, thinking, writing, walking, driving, carrying (max. 25 lbs), listening, and speaking.
