As a Recreation Therapist II at Encino Hospital Medical Center, you will be responsible for conducting a therapeutic recreation program to facilitate the rehabilitation of physically and mentally disabled patients. Your goal will be to create an atmosphere of sociability, provide creative expression, and facilitate learning skills for recreation during hospitalization and after discharge in the community.

You will direct patient participation in selected activities such as games, social activities, sports, or music to promote positive morale and minimize distress of illness.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Board Certification in Recreation Therapy or a related field, as well as a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field.

A minimum of one year of experience in Behavioral Healthcare, rehabilitative, or SNF settings is preferred.
