Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist II to join our team at Encino Hospital Medical Center. As a Recreation Therapist II, you will be responsible for conducting a therapeutic recreation program within the hospital to facilitate rehabilitation of physically and mentally disabled patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct patient participation in selected activities such as games, social activities, sports, or music to create an atmosphere of sociability and provide a means of creative expression.
  • Create an environment that allows patients to explore their own potential, cultivate positive morale, and minimize distress of illness.
  • Develop and implement a therapeutic recreation program that meets the needs of patients with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Requirements
  • Board Certification in Recreation Therapy or Art Therapist or Expressive Arts Therapy or related field.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Recreation Therapy or Art Therapist or Expressive Arts Therapy or related field.
  • Minimum one year experience in Behavioral Healthcare, rehabilitative, or SNF setting preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $21.00 to $27.30. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering a wide range of factors, including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
