Encino Hospital Medical Center is seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist II to join our team. As a Recreation Therapist II, you will be responsible for conducting a therapeutic recreation program within the hospital to facilitate rehabilitation of physically and mentally disabled patients.
Key Responsibilities- Direct patient participation in selected activities such as games, social activities, sports, or music to create an atmosphere of sociability and provide a means of creative expression.
- Create an environment that allows patients to explore their own potential, cultivate positive morale, and minimize distress of illness.
- Develop and implement a therapeutic recreation program that meets the needs of patients with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Board Certification in Recreation Therapy or Art Therapist or Expressive Arts Therapy or related field.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Recreation Therapy or Art Therapist or Expressive Arts Therapy or related field.
- Minimum one year experience in Behavioral Healthcare, rehabilitative, or SNF setting preferred.
