Position Overview

As a Senior Analyst in Acquisitions and Investment Advisory at ENGIE, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and analyzing new project valuations and risks, as well as structuring and executing Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and project financing initiatives. This position operates on a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the financial modeling and analytical processes that underpin investment decisions for project development and acquisition ventures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of financial model assumptions and the proper integration of relevant data.
  • Present investment proposals to ENGIE leadership, articulating project economics and associated risks during review sessions, and prepare the necessary financial analyses for the Investment Committee.
  • Provide guidance on valuation and structuring throughout the business development lifecycle, advising on commercial agreements, risk distribution, contract bankability, financing options, and anticipated investment returns.
  • Identify and communicate key economic and financial risks associated with projects, establish suitable contingencies, devise innovative financing strategies, and negotiate essential financial terms within transaction documents.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional development.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field with relevant knowledge in project management, financing, investments, equity, M&A, energy, or renewable markets.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in M&A and project finance transactions within an investment banking, private equity, or strategic energy context.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the use of comprehensive financial models, particularly Excel-based tools.
  • Experience in the energy sector, specifically in utility-scale renewables, distributed generation, energy services, retail electricity, and natural gas transportation or distribution.
  • Strong commercial awareness with a solid understanding of accounting principles and tax frameworks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various internal teams and with external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $84,000 - $128,800 USD annually. This range reflects the average expected compensation for a qualified candidate, with actual salary dependent on various factors including geography, experience, and education.

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive bonus and incentive program.
