Position Overview

As a Senior Analyst in our Investment and Acquisitions Financial Advisory team, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating and analyzing the financial viability of new initiatives, structuring and executing Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), as well as managing project financing transactions. This position operates on a hybrid work model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the financial modeling and analytical processes that underpin investment decisions for project development and acquisition prospects.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of financial model assumptions and the integration of relevant data.
  • Present investment opportunities to leadership, articulating project economics and risks during review sessions, and prepare necessary financial analyses for decision-making committees.
  • Provide guidance on valuation and structuring throughout the business development lifecycle, advising on commercial agreements, risk distribution, contract bankability, financing options, and anticipated investment returns.
  • Identify and communicate key economic and financial risks associated with projects, establish appropriate contingencies, devise innovative financing strategies, and negotiate critical financial terms in transaction documentation.
  • Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field with knowledge in project management, financing, investments, and M&A.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in M&A and project finance transactions within investment banking, private equity, or strategic energy sectors.
  • Proficient in data analysis and the use of detailed financial models, particularly Excel-based tools.
  • Experience in the energy market, particularly in renewable energy, distributed generation, energy services, and natural gas sectors.
  • Strong commercial insight with a solid understanding of accounting principles and tax frameworks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various teams and with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Compensation Overview

Salary Range: $84,000 - $128,800 USD annually. This range reflects the average expected pay for qualified candidates, with actual salaries varying based on factors such as experience, education, and internal alignment.

In addition to base compensation, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus structure.
