Job Title: Thin Film Process Systems Engineer

Job Summary: We're seeking a skilled Thin Film Process Systems Engineer to join our team at Intevac. As a key member of our sales and services team, you'll provide exceptional customer support and technical expertise for our cutting-edge Thin Film process systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide hands-on support for equipment installation, warranty service, and maintenance of our innovative Thin Film process systems.
* Collaborate with product engineering to ensure top-notch assembly, testing, and performance validation while troubleshooting and optimizing equipment quality.
* Train customers on the operation and maintenance of Intevac production systems, sharing Best Known Methods to elevate their performance.
* Serve as the key technical liaison, addressing warranty and production maintenance needs, troubleshooting issues, and facilitating spare part replacements.
* Gather invaluable customer feedback and report it to relevant teams to enhance satisfaction and drive improvements.

Requirements:

* People Skills: Proven ability to build strong customer relationships through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Technical Leadership: Experience in guiding teams with a focus on customer satisfaction.
* Hands-On Expertise: Proficiency in using hand tools, meters, scopes, and other specialized equipment.
* Education & Experience: An associate's degree in electro-mechanical technology (ASEET) with 5-7 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree (BSEET) with 4-6 years in a related field.
* Industry Insight: At least 3 years in the semiconductor or similar industry, with a minimum of 1 year working on Capital Semiconductor equipment or equivalent machines.
* Travel Ready: A valid driver's license and passport are required, along with a willingness to travel internationally.
* Flexible Spirit: Availability to work shifts, overtime, and on-call as needed to support our ambitious goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Technical Communicator: Strong technical communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
* Customer-Centric Mindset: Insight into customer processes and a knack for managing challenging accounts with grace.
* Vacuum System Know-How: Familiarity with vacuum systems utilizing cryogenic and turbo molecular technologies is a plus.
