Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Photonic Quantum Technology Development Specialist to join our CTO group. The successful candidate will collaborate with system companies and universities to develop quantum devices with significantly lower error rates compared to current standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create quantum devices with record low error rates using state-of-the-art semiconductor technologies.
  • Work with process, hardware, and metrology teams to develop new thin film materials and processes for quantum devices.
  • Collaborate with customers, start-ups, or universities to measure material properties.
  • Design and conduct experiments, metrology data collection, and analysis.
  • Explore new growth areas leveraging Applied's expertise in precision material engineering.
Requirements
  • PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
  • Experience with manufacturing of quantum devices.
  • Experience with photonic qubits or integrated photonics.
