Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Process Engineer to join a leading design company within the semiconductor industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining design criteria, scope definition, and justification, as well as developing design concepts, completing positioning, programming, and detailed design. They will also influence design standards, construction specifications, and operations requirements.

Additionally, the candidate will develop project budgets, schedules, and safety requirements, and perform conceptual mechanical engineering analysis for multiple scenarios. This will involve high-level schedule and/or budget development to help customers and stakeholders make critical business decisions based on time and cost constraints.

Proficiency with reading and interpreting construction contract documents is a must-have.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing mechanical and process mechanical design deliverables to support construction projects
  • Managing project change control and interfacing with a multi-user customer base
  • Developing innovative engineering and design methodologies to support aggressive program cost and construction schedules
  • Coordinating with contract design, construction, scheduling, and estimating resources, as well as internal Intel organizations
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in new build design and construction of large industrial complexes specific to mechanical systems
  • Experience with cleanroom mechanical systems, including HVAC, Fire, Closed loop Process Cooling Water, Oil Free Air, exhaust/treatment, and Process Vacuum
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
  • Proficiency with P&ID's, Pipeflo, and BIM
  • Experience with construction, startup, and turnover of facilities process systems
  • Familiarity with ANSI, SMACNA, and IBC
