Surgent McCoy CPE LLC is seeking a qualified Accounting and Auditing Course Facilitator to join our dynamic team. This role is situated within the Surgent Accounting and Financial Education division. We are looking for CPAs and educators with expertise in accounting and auditing (A&A) who possess strong writing skills and the ability to engage with knowledgeable audiences. As a Course Facilitator, your responsibilities will include delivering presentations either remotely or in-person, while Technical Content Developers will assist with the creation of educational materials. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of US GAAP and auditing standards to provide insightful and engaging presentations that go beyond standard materials.

This position is compensated on an hourly basis, with necessary remote recording tools provided as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive presentations on US GAAP, auditing standards, and other technical accounting subjects to diverse audiences.
  • Prepare technical documentation for presentations covering US GAAP and auditing standards.
  • Clarify complex accounting concepts in an accessible manner for various audience levels.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all materials prior to presentation delivery.
  • Practice and refine presentation delivery for maximum effectiveness.
  • Address technical inquiries from participants during educational sessions.
  • Conduct instructional webinars or live presentations.
  • Facilitate presentations ranging from 30 minutes to 8 hours in length.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Professional and positive demeanor towards clients and colleagues.

Education and Experience Requirements:

A college degree or equivalent professional experience is required.

Active CPA certification is mandatory.

A minimum of 1 year of experience in US GAAP, tax, or technical accounting is necessary.

Prior experience in public speaking or teaching is preferred.

At least 1 year of Audit or Tax experience in public accounting is required.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work extended hours at a desk using a computer.
