Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified candidate who can provide exceptional service to our clientele. The successful applicant will be a licensed CPA with 5-10 years of recent experience in public accounting. The responsibilities of the accountant will encompass:

  • Preparation of Tax Returns: Manage the preparation of individual, corporate, trust, estate, and partnership tax returns across multiple states, including federal and non-profit entities of varying complexities.
  • Sales and Use Tax Returns: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Sales and Use Tax Returns.
  • Payroll Processing: Handle monthly payroll deposits and prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax returns for business clients.
  • Financial Statement Compilation: Review and process monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement compilations.
  • Client Write-Up: Conduct monthly client write-up tasks.
  • Audit Fieldwork: Engage in audit fieldwork as required.
  • Technical Competency: Demonstrate strong technical skills and maintain high work quality.
  • Client Service: Provide outstanding client service with prompt turnaround times.
  • Software Proficiency: Be proficient in MS Office, QuickBooks, Lacerte, Prosystems Engagement, and Thompson Reuters Checkpoint.
  • Compilation and Review: Perform compilations, reviews, and audits as necessary.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements as required.
  • Additional Client Services: Offer other client services or assistance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year institution.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a public accounting firm, with a focus on corporate returns and financial statement compilations.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Capability to make informed decisions regarding complex accounting and tax issues.
