Position Overview
This role involves providing essential support to the UCard Office, which manages approximately 25,000 to 30,000 cardholder accounts and produces around 15,000 cards each year.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise photo submissions and manage office photo operations.
- Oversee UCard production, distribution, and mailing processes.
- Track and manage the production of badges, department debit cards, and related deposits.
- Maintain UCard Office equipment and procure necessary supplies.
- Handle account closures, refund requests, and fee submissions for individual and bulk accounts.
- Conduct weekly deposit pick-ups and reconciliations.
- Prepare and deliver UCard deposits while maintaining accurate records.
- Organize and digitize UCard file archives.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise student employees.
- Manage UCard Office communications, addressing inquiries efficiently.
- Collaborate with the UCard Manager and other departments.
- Assume management responsibilities in the absence of the UCard Manager.
- Support the University’s affirmative action policies.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Proficient in personal computer applications, particularly internet and spreadsheet software.
- Ability to quickly acquire new skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capability to supervise staff and work independently.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Thorough understanding of University policies regarding UCard issuance.
- Experience with specialized equipment and software.
- Knowledge of financial regulations related to UCard operations.
- Familiarity with student employee hiring practices.
Standard office setting.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Functional oversight of 2-4 student employees.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday; 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Salary Information
Grade 11, USA/MTA.
