FlexSchool is a private lower, middle, and high school that specializes in motivating and supporting gifted and twice-exceptional (2e) students. Our individualized approach to learning allows us to accelerate or decelerate coursework as needed, celebrating strengths and meeting students where they are.

Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and experienced math teacher to teach middle school and high school history. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various learning styles and be able to apply that in the classroom. They will thrive in a collaborative work environment and have experience working with students who are gifted or have learning differences.

Responsibilities

  • Help create and maintain a culture of respect, challenge, support, and care for all FlexSchool students
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and considerate communication with students and parents
  • Participate in regular faculty meetings and professional development activities
  • Prepare necessary paperwork for PLAAFPs, IEP meetings, and college recommendations
  • Report all significant student concerns to the Head of School and collaborate on an action plan when appropriate

  • Experience with students who are gifted or have learning differences
  • Thrives in a collaborative work environment
  • Experienced in their field or content area
  • A bachelor's degree is required
