Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Specialist to join our team at Prevention and Recovery Center. As a Housekeeping Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Laundry and Linen Management: Conduct and maintain the laundry for bedding materials and bathing towels.
  • Safety and Infection Control: Inspect and report all safety hazards and infection control issues to the supervisor.
  • Housekeeping and Sanitation: Change client linens as required, ensure cleanliness and sanitization of all areas of the facility, including the kitchen and restrooms.
  • Coordination and Communication: Coordinate daily housekeeping services with the nursing department when performing routine cleaning assignments in inpatient living and/or recreational areas.
  • Waste Management: Transport trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal areas.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner.
  • Quality Standards: Maintain set quality standards when performing job duties.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Cooperate with other personnel to achieve departmental objectives, maintain good employee relations, and interdepartmental objectives.
  • Attention to Detail: Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Chemical and Supply Management: Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedures.
  • Time Management: Complete work assignments in a timely manner.
  • Customer Service: Assist visitors with directions whenever requested.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • 8th-grade education, High School graduate, or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of similar experience in a residential facility.
  • Maintains a positive and respectful attitude with all work-related contacts.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
