Job Title: Experienced Fire Suppression Technician

We are seeking an experienced fire suppression technician to join our team at Fire Pros LLC. As a key member of our Extinguisher & Kitchen Suppression System division, you will be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, and installations on fire extinguishers and emergency lighting for our established customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance on fire extinguishers and emergency lighting.
  • Prepare accurate and timely inspection and service reports.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain work being done and any necessary repairs.
  • Maintain van stock quantities of equipment and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Inspect and repair pre-engineered restaurant fire suppression systems.
  • Perform on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.
  • Thoroughly understand NFPA, manufacturer, and local fire codes for restaurant fire suppression systems.
  • Inspect fire extinguishers and emergency/exit lights.
  • Identify NFPA code and non-conformance issues.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all work performed.
  • Perform fire marshal tests and inspections.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience performing fire extinguisher inspection and maintenance.
  • Two or more years' experience inspecting restaurant fire suppression systems preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of NFPA, manufacturer, and local fire codes for restaurant fire suppression systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 21+ years of age, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be customer-oriented.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb, work from ladders, work in confined spaces, and work overhead.
  • Must be able to work varied hours, including early morning, occasional evenings, and weekend shifts when needed.
Benefits:
  • Hourly pay based on experience.
  • Potential quarterly bonuses.
  • All hours worked between 6 pm and 5 am paid at the time and a half rate for every day of the week.
  • Paid 4-hour minimum at the time and a half rate for emergency service calls.
  • Paid 4-hour minimum at the double time rate for emergency services calls on recognized holidays, in addition to 8 hours of holiday pay at the regular rate.
