We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Sciences Specialist to join our team at Black & Veatch. As a key member of our Environmental team, you will play a critical role in providing strategic environmental consulting services for a wide range of infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of environmental impact assessment and review documents in compliance with NEPA, CEQA, and other similar state-specific or international programs.
- Operate both independently and as part of a team providing critical support to clients in environmental compliance planning, environmental permitting, due diligence, and environmental review services.
- Identify and interpret the statutes and regulations affecting the siting, design, construction, and operation of projects.
- Independently perform and lead small teams to conduct environmental analyses and develop permit applications, environmental reports, and environmental compliance procedures manuals.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, environmental engineering, or sciences strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading the development of environmental impact assessment and review documents in compliance with NEPA, CEQA, and/or international requirements.
- Experience leading and managing small teams to achieve timely and accurate project goals.
- Dedication to high-quality deliverables for all clients, internal and external.
- Highly developed critical thinking skills with proven problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to balance multiple projects while working under tight deadlines.
